A few weeks ago Jessica and James went along to support our dear friend Chris Byrne as he sat on a panel to discuss the Dallas Art Fair, its economics and other related matters.
If you don’t know by now Chris is the founder and organiser of the Dallas Art Fair
The fair will take place again in April 8-10, 2011 we hope it will go from strength to strength and we at the GMF fully support Chris and the Dallas Art Fair.
The panel was very lively and there were some interesting points that were raised and discussed. Such as the future for Dallas as a cultural centre, artists in Dallas and a need to support creativity, and why people move away and don’t stick around.
Hopefully there can be more initiatives like this taken to promote conversation about art in Dallas.
What Chris is doing with the fair is wonderful and there needs to be more people like him in this city if Dallas is ever going to become something.
