Rachel Whiteread has just opened a new exhibition at the Nasher Sculpture Center here in Dallas. The Goss-Michael Foundation honored her arrival with a permanent commission at the home of Kenny and George.

GMF staff Jason Koen and James Cope assisted Rachel in placing the “elements” on the front lawn.

 Many of Rachel’s works are casts of ordinary objects such as chairs, light switches and book shelves. She is able to capture the space that the object does not inhabit, or negative space.
