Planning the layout of a building and using the space in the best possible way is very important when designing a new museum, gallery or foundation. Architects are good at what they do but the grand plan really needs to be able to function and operate easily for the GMF team once open. We have been very involved in every decision regarding the new GMF foundation. We have learnt a lot over the years at our old building. Simple things that most people would overlook or just regard as not important. For example, how high the doors are and which way they open. How many electrical outlets are in each room and where are they located.

Construction is now underway and we are having daily meetings to go over last minute changes and supervise. Storage will be a big factor for us and Jason and James has been designing the layout of the storage so we can get the most optimal usage possible.

We have also been designing our new book store which will have some fun things for everyone. We have some cool things coming from Europe and cute designers from around the States.
