American Graffiti

Direct from a sell-out show at Gallery 503 in Tokyo, Japan, EINE has been making the rounds in Dallas for the past few days working on  two installations.  The first is just about finished and can be viewed at the Museum Tower construction site. EINE will start on the second installation Thursday at the northwest corner of Fort Worth Ave. and N. Windomere Ave. He will reproduce one of these on canvas to be auctioned at the MTV International’s Staying Alive Foundation RE: DEFINE event which will be held at The Goss-Michael Foundation on September 24.

Ben Flynn, a.k.a. EINE, shot to international fame when UK Prime Minister David Cameron presented one of his works to President Barack Obama as a gift on his first official state visit to the UK.  But, he is arguably more famous for “Alphabet Street” – the shutters and murals he painted in his trademark colors and typography in Middlesex Street, London – and is described by The Times of London as “a street now internationally recognized as a living piece of art with direct links to The White House.”
